Well my stay in Germany is coming to an end! The last year and a bit has been a great experience and Iv learned alot! The most important thing I learned is that you should never let your boss away with treating you unfairly which happens far to often in the horse industry. Yet again I leave a job unsatisfied and disgusted as I pick up a light last pay check. The meanness that was displayed by my employers is really unnecessary. While not getting a satisfactory wage for the 50+ hours I worked every week, I had the opportunity to take on some extra work, using a different method to what is traditional here and no doubt yielding better results. Unfortunately my boss decided he has a say in what I do after working hours and told me that it was not acceptable that I take on extra work. This left me to choose between quitting my job and having how I spend my evenings dictated as well as my 7am-5pm day. I just dont understand why anybody would have such an outrageous notion?
