Well nearly at the end of this week so I best get myself together and tell you what happened last week …. The week started with a delivery to the Art Gallery for of some delicious pinwheel sandwiches … it must of been the week for “food station” menus as two of our events requested the same menu service. On Wednesday we took a drive up to the majestic Orokonui Eco Sanctuary (what an amazing drive check out our photos of the scenery “above the clouds”) for the i-Site Networking evening … guests were served flowing canapes throughout the evening and we had food stations available for a bit more substantial options …. Vegetable curry served on steamed basmasti rice and chicken provencale with tri-colour pasta, and then on the other stations we had Scottish baps with pre-carved beef and ham with homemade relishes. Thanks to the Orokonui staff for letting us invade their great venue Then onto Saturday where we had 3 events .. a small day conference for NZ Infant Consortium with morning tea and lunch …. all was well received by all attendees with a standing all together “thank you” from everyone as I am trying to tidy up at the back of the room … Chef, Fia and Q had an early start with breakfast and lunch for Zentech and then Dean and Sylvia finished the Zentech dinner service because I needed Chef and Fia at the other event for NZ Gerontology Conference Mix and mingle at the Otago Museum … again using the ‘food station’ style of service guests were presented with flowing canapes of mini chicken burgers, pea and cauliflower pakroas, pork and shrimp shaomai, smoked salmon pinwheels, chicken skewers with satay sauce etc etc and for their food stations they had a salad station with 3 salads …. waldorf style with apple, grapes, walnuts, Israeli couscous with tomatoes and mushroom and a potato, egg and ham … then at the carving station or as one of the guests named it ‘carnivore corner’ we had chef Gordon carving up a storm with bbglaze ham on the bone and slow roasted beef with a herb and mustard crust, fresh Scottish baps, relish and pickle and then on Sunday …. nah rest day on Sunday! This week we got a busy few days with the OCTA conference but will tell you all about that next week
