Well, now its my turn to post this. Although, I find it increasingly hard to put these experiences into words (the essay will come in time). I must admit I came here with the aspiration to further this foray into powerlifting and weightlifting, and more importantly to get away from the last horrific weeks of the summer. But this trip turned out to be much more than that. It is pleasing to note that its been a long while since Ive spent the second half of the year without training for a competition of any type, and its certainly emancipating. In fact, yesterdays session was pretty much the first one after laying off for a month and a half following the Europe trip. Instead, Russia has brought me well away from the weightroom and Ive never felt better to be away from it. Sad but true. Coming to SPB is undoubtedly one of the best decisions so far,, and choosing to stay in Kapitanskaya made it even better (from cockroach to Killfish)To this crazy bunch of exchangers, GSOM and Russian, thanks for the experience! Give us a shout when youre in Singapore or Asia :) I wish I had more time here, but looking back Ive had my fun and Im glad it happened. Not to mention it gives me more purpose to work my way back. So heres a (cheesy) track to end it. Im glad it made it as far as the radio in Kazakhstan. до свидания Санкт-Петербург!
