Well now, not the best day today. Started my morning hunt with nephew Jordan. Good so far. Cut new trail, found fresh sign and started tracking. Jordan did very good, was quiet and observant, followed my lead. About 20 min of tracking and found another hunter. Turns out hes lost so had to turn off and lead him out . Decided to take a break at Grampas for coffee and decide new strategies. While kicking back for a min get a wonderful phone call and my u know what chewed off.. :( eventually get back out to my hunt, Amy and Jordan want to take the tree stand, Rylee wants to track with me this time. Take up my hunt where left off. The lost hunter had been all through that area tracking it up. Give up and cross the road. Make a wide circle around Amy and Jordan, only one set of tracks in the new snow within a mile radius. Go get Amy and head back. Rylee did very good too. Go to work to check the ground heaters and they are both quit! Took about 20 min got one restarted. Headed out next to get supper, slipped on ice closing gate and smashed my head on ice and hurt my right shoulder. Eh! Im glad this day is about done.
