Well now who has been missing the adventurous stories of Judy Cool - TopicsExpress

Well now who has been missing the adventurous stories of Judy Cool and my Moody Babyblue bike? Well let me tell you, things have been rough. Due to weather conditions beyond my control, we have been sticking pretty close to home. I actually started out to make my way around the lake for a new route. The ride to town was pretty nice because I kept running over all of those little helicopters that fall out of the trees this time of year. Running over them is almost as fun as popping packaging popcorn -- and who doesnt LOVE doing that. This time I actually checked the sky and tried to determine how long I had until the rains would come. I headed toward the airport end of the lake and as I looked across to the far end, it suddenly occurred to me that Tamarack Lake may very well have been one of the lakes picked to be a GREAT LAKE . The size would surely have put it in the running. Common sense told me that I would be about as likely to make it around Tamarack on babyblue as I would tooling through Wisconsin to get around Lake Michigan. I pretty much couldnt dare take that kind of adventure without warning people in my life that might start looking for me after a day or so. Not that I think Im not fast enough to make the trip in less than a day or so, but us serious bikers dont like to take unnecessary risks! And besides that, my sweet wicker basket has its limits for weight restrictions, and it would have to take a lot of candy bars to get me that far. Many things passed my mind as I sauntered back home, as to why a huge place like Tamarack didnt qualify for a Great Lake. I got it figured out before I reached my driveway. The way kids in school learn to memorize the Great Lakes is by using the anagram H.O.M.E.S. Huron, Ontario,Michigan,Erie and Superior. There would be no place to put T ! What T.H.O.M.E.S?, or H.O.M.E.S.T.?? No it just wouldnt have worked so therefore they stuck to the 5. That does not change the problem I would have trying to pedal Babyblue all the way around a could be Great Lake. By that time my atmo-logic (that means the logic I have for the atmosphere -- Webster doesnt recognize the word yet, but I might introduce it to them, I have added it to my dictionary) told me that I should really start home to avoid another soaking. With all of that deep thinking I was too tired to ride anyway so I came home and tucked Babyblue away until the rains diminish. I have started a new project called Judy Cool and her sewing machine. I may have some interesting, helpful information on that project so stay tuned!!
