Well, once again, time’s inexorable forward momentum brings us around to the occasion of my birthday. For those who are wondering, I’m now 40, going on 27! And, rather than send a ton of Twitter spam, I chose to use this blog to express my love and appreciation to God and for my friends and family. God, of course, have been there since the beginning (sort of the point, really) HE been very good to me. But as time goes on, I’ve come to appreciate HIM more and more – especially in the past few months, where things have been on the rocky side, and My mother , my brothers , and all of my sisters (DOD) have all been there for me, and it means such a great deal to me. Also, I want to express my gratitude for all the wonderful friends I’ve made via face book, and the Liberia Bus Project, but coming to know and cherish the people within those online communities has made an incalculable difference to me. Some of these people have become especially close friends, as friends often do – but every friend I have is special, and valued. Last, but certainly by no means least, I am thankful for wonderful and loving Miss Williemina Ace Ayaregah for being part of my life, originally as a friend, but now as my feature partner. She, most of all, has transformed a miserable existence into one which is incredibly and more enjoyable. You are a perfect gift from God, and I will do all it take to make you happy. Yes, it is my birthday, but I wanted to celebrate all of you… because you’re all a part of what makes me the person I am today. Thank you.
