Well our simple bathroom revamp has taken a turn for the worse. Our house is about 40 years old and the sink in the big bathroom vanity had started leaking around the drain. Simple fix.... put in another drop in sink. But.... it is old and not so pretty and the big box store have some pretty ones and it would make the bathroom look nicer. And the bathroom vanities are on sell. So we look and look and look. The smaller ones have the vanity top attached but the one we are replacing is 48. The ones that size do not include the top. Our $40 project has now turned into a $400 project Then I spot a a large box sitting by itself. A 43 vanity which includes a stone top and sink. I get the priced checked and it is clearance only $143. WOW WOW YES. We get it home and take out the old vanity Not too much of an issue. Then we find the floor underneath the old vanity is not finished by about 15 tiles and there is a 3 square on the wall around the pipes that is empty except for chicken wire and a little concrete. The new vanity has legs so you can see underneath it and it is smaller so you can see the hole in the wall. The tiles are about 40 years old and are not made anymore. So I guess our $40 quick fix has turned into a whole bathroom remodel. Not what we had in mind at this time. I guess our next purchase is going to be a sledge hammer.
