Well our summer break is now over and we are excited about getting back to business here at Mermaids Secret. The grass was longer and bushes bushier but the cool refreshing Mermaids Pool was certainly a welcome we looked forward to so as soon as we arrived after a long day travelling we went for our anti jet lag swim. Sadly though all was not as we had left it as the following morning there was a strange silence. Rocky our trusty rooster was nowhere to be seen, or heard! Mr Barry who cares for the place while we are away told me he had not seen him for a while and so it appears Rocky finally fell off his perch and flew up to chicken heaven. Rocky had welcomed all of our guests here over the years and hung out with them during their stay. He often went to their cabin and helped eat up any left over rice or pasta and he enjoyed being down at the bar, just in case any one dropped a crumb or two. Anyway he will be missed as he was a very special chicken. Luckily he got a chance to star in his own movie which is posted here as a tribute to Rocky the Rooster. Enjoy. youtu.be/qLMH-OrvlA8
