Well, our walk this morning rendered nothing really special unless you count the woman and her little dog who crossed to the other side of the street when they saw coming toward them. Now, thats an eye rolling moment for sure. Come on, lady, we dont eat little dogs. Someone told us they dont taste like chicken. We are insulted, big time! We saw a new dog in our neighborhood. She barked a big hello so Mum let us go to the fence to talk to her. She said her humans adopted last week. Her name is Lily. Shes a big blond girl with short hair and floppy ears. We want to get to know her better because weve heard blonds have more fun. Bet she can teach us a lot. Continuing our walk, we found our path blocked by cars which overflowed from the driveway onto the sidewalk. Wed had enough of this kind of stuff so we peed on the cars tires. Mum stopped to talk to a man who was mowing his grass. He wanted to know what in the world we are. Duh, mister, were dogs, Airedales, King of the Terriers. We liked him even if he was a little dim when it comes to dogs. We let him pet us after we sniffed his butt. Not much else of interest happened on our walk unless you count the man who said something to us we couldnt understand.. Mum said he spoke Spanish. Thats a secret code some humans use. Mum translated for us. He said, Those are pretty dogs. My brother has an Airedale. Weve gotta learn that secret code. All we understand are words like sientarse, no más, para Mum and dónde estan mis zapatos. Mum sez no is the same word in code. Wouldnt ya know it! Just sayin . . . theres always something interesting going on, even on a dull day.
