Well, plans are under way for the next step of my journey. The universe intervened to help me make decisions and Im more than happy to follow where its leading me. I just love these strange little coincidences that help make a plan come together. So, first coincidence. A while ago I met the first of the volunteers to volunteer through the new CSV organisation Care and Share Volunteers Vietnam). Turns out Lucy is going to Cambodia on May 17. Guess when my Visa expires!!!! Not just before or just after but exactly that date. Shes happy to have travel companion so we will catch the bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh on May 17. Its a 6-7 hr journey apparently. Short compared to some of the bus trips I have here over the past two years. I will make my way to Chumkriel to see the marvellous works John Quilty and Lyn Quilty are doing. The soccer pitch might be a going concern by then. This couple are my second coincidence ... another case of same place - same time. Too good an opportunity not to take advantage of. Before the journey begins, Ill have to take all my accumulated goods to Tran Thi Ngoc Hanh. Two biggies: she helped me buy a fridge and a washing machine but right from the start they were for her. I just borrowed them for the year. Later we got 2m x 1m shelving made. Thatll need home as well. Oh and the blender, saucepans, kettle, clothes racks, vacuum, plates, blanket, mattress......... Hmm, shell be storing/inheriting a ute load. :) Im sure the time will fly. Before I know it, itll be Goodbye Vietnam. But Ill be back to catch up with my sister Vietnam, Mrs Hanh. Gotta see the progress and success this amazing lady makes with my own eyes.
