Shelia Graham posted in Citizens for a better Cherokee: If you have driven though our little town of Cherokee and seen all the Christmas decorations, you can thank a great group of Ladies. These Ladies have worked non-stop to make our town look its best for “Come Home for Christmas to Cherokee. My Father-In-Law has always said “you always have time to do the things you want to do”. I am not sure that this group wanted to decorate the whole town, but they have found time to do so. Now I ask you to show this group how much you appreciate them by coming out and supporting their event this week. Thursday, November 21st and Friday November 22nd the Cherokee Library Friends will be having their Christmas Craft/Bake sale. The sale will take place in the Lion’s Den; the hours for Thursday are 8:00 a.m. till 5:00 and Friday 8:00 a.m. till 3:00. All proceeds will go to help pay for the Cherokee Library insurance. While you are at the sale make sure you let these Ladies know what a great asset they are to our little town. Thank you Betty Elliott, Betty Ogletree, Nella Thomason, Nelda Thompson, and Marie Holiday for all the work you do for Cherokee.
