Well said Ted Jotte: As I see it, from this point forward..... the false promise of progress. Leadership in Federal Government, and much State Government politics simply doesnt exist. The politicians may have a lot of people fooled into thinking its all about leadership and protecting Americans. They promote their policies and create legislation that targets specific groups, and/or causes, thus creating a faux image of leadership that is nothing more than a well constructed, and well planned distraction from something much larger than representing the people. The revenue drain valve was installed in every working American many years ago by the creation of the IRS, and since that time, the ideological architects have been structuring society to accept and believe that Americans are top priority. Unfortunately, history proves otherwise. A great amount of leadership is not necessary when the majority of working citizen believe that handing over thirty to fifty percent of their earnings to the government is good and proper. The people are appeased and happy when their roads are fixed, their parks are clean and theyre protected with tons of legislation that intertwine with civil matters which, under a republic, should be handled through local courts without the threat of being politically incorrect. Leadership does exist, but not for the people. When was the last time you voted for a massive war in a country that never threatened American society? When was the last time you participated in a referendum for your community to be included in a spy data base? When was the last time you have had any voice or any vote in any activity other than common social issues? The answers are obvious, and so are the tactics of the so-called leaders a.k.a. politicians that are deeply rooted in a segment of government where we the people have no voice, yet continue paying for the atrocities of leadership. They are attacking the Founder’s vision by appealing to the natural human desire to reduce fear and insecurity. They want you to believe that fear and insecurity can only be reduced through the fairness and caring of the government. They want you to believe that free enterprise and individual liberty are failing – that is their argument - and they are winning too many hearts and too many minds among the American people. We must understand the compelling nature of the progressive argument and we must learn how to compete with it. We must also understand that most of middle America, the persuadable middle, move back and forth from one side to another based upon their perception of who will treat them more fairly and who really cares about the challenges in their lives. Ignoring these attacks is not a sustainable strategy. We must respond, for the policies being advanced by these administrations and their allies are destroying the middle class and undermining the very foundation of the American Dream.
