Well see permutations of the same story in Venezuela going - TopicsExpress

Well see permutations of the same story in Venezuela going forward. This one shows doctors confronting the National Guard. It was taken on a day when yet another clinic closed due to a lack of supplies. A relative studying medicine says he sends his patients at the hospital to the pharmacy to buy their own syringes and other supplies. Hospital shelves are empty. At medical school, his professors lock the doors because robbers often burst in to rob those inside. Going to the bathroom is out of the question. When I said this on Al Jazeera, academic and government sympathizer Jesus Silva smiled. But my source isnt obscure. Its happening daily to the doctors in my life. They all work for state hospitals, and what they tell isnt pretty. No surprise to see repression there.
