Well settled into Commonwealth Games Village life now! Ive been training out on the course every day and there have been so many changes since we last trained at Cathkin. Every day new sections have been added and even today a section was taken out but we hear on our rest day tomorrow it will be completed! All a bit last minute with the course design but you have to take these things in your stride and not let it stress you. Once I finish my race Ill be more active on social media and put up some pics of the village, the dining hall, our room... Me stalking Bolt... Bolt photobombing me... For now though I have a big job to do and focus on... So will be thinking about just that. Still overwhelmed by the incredible support, and super inspired by all my Scotland team mates who are bringing home the medals! My race is on Tuesday at around 11am I believe. If you have never watched a mountain bike race before, you are in for a treat. Lots of techy sections and by lap 4 when the fatigue starts setting in, the crashes will come. It is a pretty brutal sport...endurance, speed, power, technique and courage in abundance are required to get round a cross country course. It is multiple laps, usually around 6 and the winner is normally expected in at around the 1hr30 mark. There are some very talented girls racing, watch out for the Canadians and Aussies in particular. They are strong!!! Head down time!!!!
