Well, so I had a great day today. After about two hours of sleep, woke up around 4 am having a sneezing and coughing fit. (or whatever time it was.) Blew a vein in my nose, and spent the next six or seven hours trying to get the blood to stop pouring. Two rolls of toilet paper later, I finally fell asleep. Woke up around 4 PM, feeling like I was drugged, and barely lift my head off the pillow. Managed to turn the first NFL playoff game on, and kind of half watched it and half kept napping. Finally forced myself up during the third quarter, and realized I was down to only one roll of tp left. (My biggest fear.) So I had to make a run to town to get some supplies. House key? Check, in the pocket. Wallet? Check, in the pocket. Cell Phone? Check in the pocket. So I brave the darkness and frigid temps and go to town. Get the stuff I need, including a few snacks and some pizza rolls. Get back to the house, and my house key is gone. Come on...I know I put it in this pocket. Checked all pockets 5 times, no house key. Dammit! So with no real other option I drive back to town...of course it was dark. Searched the parking lot best I could, found nothing but a quarter. Still, score, right? I go inside, and start retracing all my steps, looking on the floor. They know me there pretty well, the cashier said, Did you lose something? I said, Yeah, didnt happen to find a key on the floor did you? She said, No. But I havent swept up yet. I kept looking around. Finally she went into the back and I heard her say, You didnt happen to find a key out here on the floor did you? I heard a muffled response, and she said, Oh you did? Anyway, big sigh of relief. Last time I put my house key in my coat pocket.
