Well so weve been back in BR for two weeks now. We are staying with wonderful relatives that thankfully love us cuz our little house is not ready yet. In fact Im sitting in the driveway now waiting for the cable guy to come install stuff.. so if anybodys coming down Core Lane with an extra cup of coffee, stop by! So anyway, my observations on the state of things here since our return is this. *Gas is definately cheaper than in Georgia. Love that!! *Groceries are a lot higher. I need to find out where everybody shops. Advice?? *Large Cokes are not a buck at McDonalds, but a bacon egg and cheese BISCUIT is $3.79. Whaaaa???? Are they already paying $15 an hr? *The temperament of drivers has changed. Lord have mercy. If u go the speed limit, they hook on to your bumper to make you go faster!!...except me...I maintain....and sure enough they pass me, yellow line or not. Ive never seen such tail gating before....when you cant even see their headlights....thats bad...and nerve wracking. Ive wanted to give some a break check but not without my 38. *But the good thing, the best thing, is that the people we know and love are here and are the same and the new people weve met and are now new friends is what home is all about. They are why we came home. (and Tonys seafood, and Jerrry Lees of course) Thank God we made it. p.s. we left behind a whole lot of good friends in Georgia too. We love and miss yall.
