Well, starting to get into reading about one of my favorite people in the Bible, King David. What a Warrior Servant, King & Priest of God. The Spirit of the Lord was with Him in battle after battle. I loved how he conquered cities and regions and took down and destroyed enemy strongholds and encampments. The authority and power that He carried was amazing. But, the one thing that even stood out more for me was his heart toward God. The Lord describes him as a man after his own heart and that is what God was impressed by. I thought wow, God, we can have many talents, giftings, annointings, beauty, intelligence, etc., but in the end its our hearts that move God. Our hearts are the true measure of how what we value and treasure the most. The condition and depth of Davids heart is what moved God and brought him to great honor among men. Powerful thought.
