Well-surgery went well, at home and resting-managing pain OK. Himself had put nice clean sheets on the bed and fresh pillowcases, towels and pajamas. My surgeon had stopped by my hospital room to tell me an interesting story...he had ordered special plates to be screwed into the tibia and had been assured everything was in order. On the tray was NOT the plate he had requested, but being he genius he is, told the staff he was not going to wake up Mama Bear and have to send me home and something had better be done. And fast. They were able to find something very close and he built me the correct plate for the tibia. Now we begin the process for a membrane to grow over the bone cement and in 5 weeks, the cement will be removed and I will be set on the road to growing bone. I could really just use a bottle of Skele-Gro from Harry Potter!
