Well that was interesting. We spent all day discussing film classification. And Brian surprised me. He wants me to go through scenes in the script and up the ante. He reckons that we are at risk of getting a PG-13 rating. Which might make it broad appeal but will give us zero cred in the horror world (and in mine!). We need a guaranteed “R”. Maybe even “NC17”. I was trying to keep things within limits so we wouldn’t be banned. Guess I went too “safe” - a bit of self censoring. I’m almost embarrassed. I feel like I’ve been let off the noose - I’m going for it. If I get too gruesome, then what the hell we can always pull it back but right now I bakc to my favourite place, pushing the boundaries.
