Well, thats 11 months without booze and cigarettes. Almost done my goal of one year :) ... Still not entirely sure whats gonna happen after that year is up but one thing is certain; theres no way I can go back to living the way I used to. I may not have accomplished everything I wanted to but Im still in a far better place than I was 11 months ago. Not to mention, I feel like Ive learned more about myself in that short time than I have through out my entire life. But perhaps the most important difference is that Ive learned to respect and appreciate myself, which is more valuable than words can express. Of course a lot of credit goes to my beautiful girlfriend Gabrielle who constantly reminds me of my good qualities, and alleviates any insecurities I might have ... And maybe Im making this all seem like a bigger deal than it really is, but looking at the person I was 11 months ago, I feel like it is a big deal. The best part of all is that its just the beginning. This is where I start becoming the person I want to be and living the life I feel I deserve.
