Well thats a satisfying conclusion to a slightly tense 24 hours. Daughter rings me up yesterday and tells me that her daughter (my granddaughter) had dismantled one of the handles on the TV cabinet and the nut was nowhere to be found. Shes only 11 months old so is still in the white pointer phase of her development, as in everything goes in her mouth. She ended up taking her to the doctors and an x-ray confirmed the location of the missing nut. Prognosis was as youd expect. She should pass it in a day or two. Thats when the fun began. Ill quite happily put my hand up and admit that I didnt, at any time, go through the contents of her nappy. Her grandmother ended up shouting Eureka this morning when the nut was successfully located after passing all the way through a tiny human. Washed it up and now I just have to re-assemble the handle, with a bit of loctite, and I can access my DVDs a again.
