Well thats been a hectic day ! First time out this week and the opens been on the laurels at Lindhome theres been a small turn out of a dozen lads so with plenty of space I really fancied it for some good weights off most areas.Ive drawn 65 today which is a decent peg in the first bay and with young Alex docherty winning the Tuesday match off 16 I had to fancy it for a weight ! I started as I normally do on laurels top kit plus 2 feed ing heavy with pellet and corn and was into fish from the off big f1s lovely fishing all the while I was proper blasting 4s at 14m ,I caught short for the 1st hour and 20 mins but by Keeping me eyes on the lads around me I had to go shallow as they were catching much quicker than me at this point :-/ picking up the shallow rig i never looked back fish after kept coming back I had 1 quite 20 mins in the last hour when I tried getting em closer which really naffed it up but apart from then a nice easy match Ive ended up weighing 255lb for the match win and I believe the new lake record so happy days its also been the anniversary of me dad passing away 20 years ago so this 1 was for big Jeff ❤️
