Well that’s a big fat ‘extra imprinted and making sure not to smudge coz it was in pencil’ X in the YES box from me. Was a weird feeling – I actually felt like I was participating in an historic moment in time ! Had to keep checking and double checking I was marking the right box ! It’s been an eventful, educating and enlightening couple of years to say the least for me with studying Social Sciences and starting to learn all about Politics, Sociology, History etc. Good timing though eh ! I’ve met some amazing people by attending and organising events and debates, promoting and spreading the word, learnt loads about social, political and economic structures and even been on the telly a few times ! :P (I kinda feel dirty for being on the BBC though - although I made sure the free bar at the filming I was at compensated a wee bit for the license fees of whoever was there at the time) :D As I’ve said throughout the whole debate I think it’s brilliant that the referendum has encouraged a massive amount of people to become more aware and challenge the whole social, political and economic structure - long may it last ! A big shout out and huge respect to all those who have campaigned relentlessly for the past couple of years for what they believe in ! Squeaky bum time now - but whatever happens tomorrow - this is just the beginning… X
