Well, the 2014 Band & Drill Competition is over, other than the tallying of the scores. I have been told that the Renegades Band did great and probably could have competed in the regular band category instead of as a Junior Band. So next year we will compete to place in the top 3 Army Cadet Military Brass & Reed Bands!! Notice I didnt say top 3 overall? Have you seen those Air Cadet bands?!?! The Drill Team, as the CO told me were excellent!! They did really good and lots of parents showed up! So now we wait until the results are released which should be by Friday to see how the team and our Commander did compared to the other Drill With Arms Teams. Our goal was to be the top Army Cadet Corps in that category, but it sounds like we have a chance to be in the top 3 even compared to the air and sea cadet teams!!! So BZ to all Band and Drill Team members, especially to WO Natalie Wiker and WO Michelle Mabira, and the coaches and instructors - OCdt James Mark Charlebois, CI Lynne Hollingshead and Ms Lindsi Jennings, some who could not help us much this year as they would have liked to, but still had so much influence on our results. Now lets focus on the Annual Ceremonial Review Parade on 7 June, when we will have our best Band and Drill Team demonstrations in years!!
