Well ..... the SQHQ is looking good .... but the Voluntary Warden is not looking so good ! I worked in the HQ from 1600 until 1930 (3.5 hrs), before taking a quick, 30-minute sanity break around the Bowl. Today I concentrated on the Entrance Room .... scraping the loose paint from the ceiling and walls. I also scraped the loose paint off the front door (inside and out) and the side windows (also, inside and out). The latter involved fighting with the large Dog Rose bush ! Professional builders would have simply cut the bush down, but I dont want to make the side window too attractive to uninvited guests ! Some photos, showing the results are a little cloudy. This is not fog or mist, but a cloud of dust that drifted across the interior after my sweeping operation. The unattached interior door was fastened in front of the side window to prevent intruders gaining access. As I couldnt leave the job to see the wildlife, the wildlife came to me, in the form of a lovely False Grayling. A late bonus was the first Chalk-Hill Blue of the year.
