Well the big day arrived and the hard part is over. All that stressing I did and it was all over so quickly and efficiently. Billy helped me round the girls up this morning and it went so much quicker than I thought it would. We had Ellie crated and Sam in my arms with a slip lead and then in the truck and on the way to the vet in a matter of minutes. Once there, the staff at Pet Medical Center and Spa was beyond fabulous. I walked in and checked in and they got a room ready for me immediately to bring the girls into. I brought Ellie in first and by the time I got Sam in, there were already two staff members in the room with paperwork and getting the girls ready to go. I cant say enough great things about this facility. They were definitely on the ball and had everything under control. I felt completely confident in handing the girls over to be taken care of by them. The girls were frightened but were handled very gently by the staff. They will both be spayed today and while under sedation will receive their micro chip and shots as well as a heart worm test for both and they are even going to administer the multi flea meds to them so I dont have to do that when they are awake. Im feeling very good about the treatment they are going to receive today and about the next steps we can try to take to get them socialized. So now, I wait for the call to pick them back up this evening. Ill update more once I get them but for now, heres a couple of pics I was able to snap from this mornings adventure. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this possible for these girls. We are so grateful to each and every one of you.
