Well, the contentious budget bill passed 219-206 late last night with 57 Democrats voting yes. Liberal Democrats joined the conservative wing of the House opposing the bill with Nancy Pelosi reneging on the very deal that she helped negotiate. The White House sent top staff to lobby Democrats who remained furious over compromise measures Republicans wanted. It was strange night with the most conservative and the most liberal Members joining forces. Now it goes to the Senate where Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren will lead the charge against passage. Included in the bill is the prohibition against using taxpayer dollars to bail out ObamaCare insurance companies.
