Well the drive home from Duchesne was interesting... All was good until we got to Steamboat Springs, where we encountered heavy snow and wind. This continued off and on until we got to Silverthorne. We stopped there for gas and a food break. Just outside Silverthorne the snow started up again. Hwy 9 southbound was snowing with snowpack and blowing snow which made for limited visibility. Going up Hoosier Pass was slow with lots of snow. We got behind a snowplow which was nice. Zero visibility in several spots. We were at a dead stop near the top of the pass and several times in and around Alma. After Hartsel to Wilkerson pass was better but then we had snowpack and ice until Floresant. But we made it home only running 2 hours more than normal travel time.
