Well the first two pics are how Thomas started in the world but the last ones are how he will live out the rest of his life. There are so many people to thank for saving his life and getting him safely to our home but I will sum it up by saying thank you to The Animal Rescue corps and The Merit Pit Bull foundation! Here are the results from the sentencing of the two giant pieces of shit that ran the fighting ring. This is from a friend who attended the trial This message is from a gentleman that attended court to watch the proceedings Now please try to remember DONT SHOOT THE MESSENGER! Both of the attorneys did their best to minimize the impact on their clients and the DA pushed for maximum sentence. Avery Bell was eligible for pre-trial diversion because he didnt have any previous convictions, in essence, he would have had the conviction removed from his record after a period of time. The DA pointed out that Mr. Bell was not always honest with his testimony and (WOO HOO) the judge agreed with him, making Mr Bell INELIGIBLE for pretrial diversion. I need to get the specifics yet, but they both received 2 years suspended sentence and the judge is looking into them not owning animals ever again, he has never done a dog case that I am aware of and he thought that this was automatic (which it isnt). All in all, both of them have been found guilty of one felony and a number of misdemeanors. From this day forward, neither one will ever be able to own a gun or vote. Mr Bell WAS an avid coon hunter, until today :) Being that their sentence is suspended, if they get convicted of much of anything or fail to follow through with their probation, they can slap either one with an immediate 2 year jail/prison sentence. In all honesty this is more than I thought theyd get since they plea bargained.
