Well the head of the communication department isnt going to be - TopicsExpress

Well the head of the communication department isnt going to be able to read my thesis paper until Monday, but after a lot of work and writing, I have feel as though I have really accomplished something in writing an honors thesis. I am rest assured knowing that I will graduate with honors in two weeks and that I have come a long way with working. The most honorable thing about the project was that I was aloud to choose a topic I was very passionate about. Who wouldve thought that the biggest project I would do in college would be a paper about Jim Henson - a celebrity I idolize both as a creator and as a person and who I just wish never left the world (right before I was born). Of course he isnt my hero (those are my parents and family) but I consider him one of the most special influences in making me who I am today. Every new thing I learned about him just made the project more and more interesting, and some things shocked me, but in general he is one of the few people I have never heard an evil thing about. I found out that I had so much in common with him, that it felt appropriate to do my thesis on how morals are portrayed in his projects. The semesters not over yet though. Here hoping the presentation next week goes well and all my other projects come out well. I want to thank all my family and friends for the support they gave me during this challenging part of my college career, and helped me keep my head up when I felt like I couldnt do it. Most of all - I just have to give my biggest thanks to my thesis advisor Dr. Michelle Scollo, who showed me how to do everything, and encouraged me the most to keep a positive state of mind while writing this paper. She truly was a wonderful influence, and I am more than thankful to have had her as a teacher during my time at Mount Saint Vincent. I know that in the future she will contribute many great things to the school in the future. As Henson, once said The feeling of accomplishment is more real and gratifying than enjoying a good meal or looking at ones accumulated wealth. I certainly think this paper was a big accomplishment and I feel happier than Ive been in a while. Now to celebrate...I think Ill print out a copy of Gene Siskels negative review of Labyrinth and....BURN IT!!
