Well the idiots are out in force in Notts! I took a call yesterday from a vets in Retford to say that a client of theirs had booked their 9 month old Shep girlie in to be PTS because next doors dog had got into her garden and chased her round and round scaring her half to death, eventually she had turned on him with her hackles up and barked at him to warn him off. The neighbour of the offending dog told the owner that she felt threatened by her and said she looked aggressive, the owner agreed and said she had had other problems with her and booked her in to be PTS!!!! They had never had a large dog so what a great idea to get a large working breed as your first. The vet luckily managed to talk them in to signing the dog over to them and promised to find her a rescue space.....and here she is! When my lot introduced themselves, not forgetting there are 10 of them at the mo, she did no more than wet herself and hid! Just another baby, bought by an idiot and almost lost her life because of their lack of knowledge of the breed. What a stunner the dog world would have lost. x
