Well, the latest episode of Game Grumps has a Wendys ad in the lower right corner that is actually encoded into the video. You cant get rid of it, and you cant blame YouTube for it. The Grumps said that it was there to cover up the Steam Key for the game, but since they were playing the game already, the Steam Key wouldnt do anything for anyone that might steal it, and if they didnt take the 2 seconds it takes to hit Shift+Tab and take the key off-screen, thats sad. If they were just trying to cover up their Steam Key, they wouldnt have covered it up with a Wendys ad unless they were taking money, and this is invasive bullshit. Im not complaining that theyre trying to make more money for their videos, but for Christ sake, theyre Lets Plays. They already work with YouTubes monetization scheme perfectly (being long-form, easy-to-produce, daily videos), theyre already partnered with Polaris (who pays them to play certain games), and they just finished doing the Anki Drive promotional videos. How much do they really expect to get paid for sitting around and playing video games? Its not even like they buy the games themselves - fans send that shit in.
