Well, the new puppy is doing well after eating snail bait sometime Wednesday evening. He dug under a gate, pulled open a shed door, and found some bait that must have been in there for 20 years, I dont use it because of the animals, and must have missed it when we puppy-proofed the yard. Was in and out of the vet all night Wednesday and he spent all day Thursday with the vet on IV. A huge thank you to Dr Diane Perry and her husband of Mendocino Coast Animal Hospital in Fort Bragg, they were on call all night and came in at 2:30 in the morning to help my little guy. Hes a little dopey still, but feeling much better after scaring the shit out of mom. And of course, Shawn was out of town and traveling all day Thursday worrying about the puppy...but all is well now.
