Well, the phone locked up again for several hours, yesterday. Some messages that were supposed to be on it were not there when it came back to life. I spoke to VERIZON this morning and was told that they have had a lot of customers have problems since downloading the new OS for Apple iPhone, and they are recommending a hard reset to get rid of the OS upgrade and go back to the factory installed one. However, when I described what the phone was doing, they also said that it sounded more like a hardware problem, so if doing the hard reset doesnt work, they will replace the phone. Today is the day to do the reset and find out, since it is a day off from work. The whole thing makes me very uncomfortable since the phone is also my hot spot to connect the laptop to the Internet. Without it, I am cut off from the world.
