Well the snow has beaten The South Yorkshire Massive, we managed to get the crew together to set off towards Radcliffe and made it past car after car struggling to get up the gentlest of slopes on the way towards the M1 only to find a scene of complete carnage with a lorry jack knifing at the entry roundabout and cars skidding narrowly missing each other so we turned off the first exit and headed home only to have to abandon the car a few miles from home and walking the remainder, we took the right decision and passed car after car with the occupants doing the same thing including a family with a small baby! I asked if we could help but they had an eight mile hike towards warm and dry. I hope everyone got home safe and sound.
