Well, the sunny skies have come to an end but not before a breathtakingly beautiful departure last night from Budapest; the Danube brilliantly lit up by the Parliament building on one side and castles on the other. We passed under I believe all 9 of the bridges spanning the Danube - the most glorious being the Chain Bridge over which we had walked earlier in the day - from Pest to Buda. This morning, rain notwithstanding, we had the chance to browse a cathedral in a small town downriver about 100 kilometers from Budapest and then went on to a farm and were treated to a marvelous exhibition of Hungarian horsemanship. Altogether a fascinating excursion. This afternoon has been spent cruising further downriver; about to clear customs as we leave Hungary. Some photos of last evening and this morning attached.
