Well the time has come. I have a little distressing news to reveal since it will become evident so quickly now. A few weeks ago, Jeanne (as most of you know, my wife) learned she has a type of uterine cancer. She had sworn me to secrecy until we had all of the facts. She had only told her family and her closest friends and bosses. Last week we saw the surgeon who would be performing a hysterectomy and got all of the facts. We set a date for mid-December. She would be home post surgery for the Christmas holidays. It is very early stage and the odds are high for a good outcome. I am a cancer survivor myself and we see it in the same light as my experience. I still had not told anybody before this post. The Dr. called this morning though and told her they had an opening in the morning now and wanted to move her up to tomorrow. She was most concerned about me because I have some things I needed to take care of at Camp Avant. If you know my wife, she worries about everybody else first before she worries about herself. I told her none of that was important. She is the most important thing and if she gets it done tomorrow it will be over with. So anyway that will be my first and most important situation and activity for a few days. I will keep you informed and work on my photos from the week-end here at home until she is comfortable about me going down to Camp Avant. Thanks everyone.
