Well, the time of concern is over.... I think!!! I had my echo-cardiogram stress test procedure today and while it was a physicians assistant and technician who performed the test with me, their consensus was that I did not have a heart attack and any anomalies, if there are, will have to be deciphered by the cardiologist who I should hear from on Thursday. I was able to go the full time on the treadmill and finished at 110 percent of the ideal heart rate for my age group. I went to 165 bpm plus for my age group (85 percent of my age goal is 135 bpm for my height, weight, age, and is considered good). They kept asking if I was getting tired yet and if I wished to get off and I kept saying, I think I can go further. I wanted to see if I could force my heart into a problem situation so they would be able to see it, so I really pushed further. Nothing detected on Echo or EKG while performing the test or any heart related pain or problems....Not too bad I guess for a 62 and counting year old fuddy duddy!!! lol
