Well, the wait is over... perhaps waiting wasnt so bad after all. We received some good and bad news.... we will be moving to Athens Regional for Roger to have open heart surgery tomorrow. They will be performing a bypass on him to repair his LAD artery. His heart attack was caused by a collapse of one of the stents placed in 2008 and it is truly a miracle that he didnt suffer another severe or fatal attack this time. The good news out of all of this is that the bypass may improve and strengthen his heart over time, instead of just having to deal with a weak heart and a defibrillator. His cardiologist said that he will probably not even have to have a defibrillator placed with the bypass. He is definitely not out of the woods yet, but there hope for improvement. He will be in the hospital for at least another week. Thank you all for the prayers! God must have been listening because his cardiologist said it was truly a miracle he survived this collapse and that God must have a purpose for him.
