Well the world has Tony Stark to thank for the upcoming threat tht is Ultron in Avengers Age of Ultron as Tony Stark will indeed be Ultrons Creator. Sometime after the events of Iron Man 3 as well as the solo adventures of his fellow avengers, Tony Stark built Ultron as a self-aware, self-teaching A.I system whose purpose was to assess possible threats & direct Tonys legion of armors into battle should any threats arise, thus giving him & his fellow avengers a break from saving the world. But like any A.I system tht turns evil, Ultrons villany kicks in when his superior intelligence makes him label human beings as the #1 threat thus making him want to eliminate the human race as a whole which of course puts him into conflict with earths mightiest heros.
