Better yet, who put them up to it? ~Faith Michael Brown’s parents make ABSURD demand about Officer Darren Wilson to the United Nations While we await the grand jury’s decision about Officer Darren Wilson, the parents of Mike Brown are busy bees. They went before the United Nations to talk about police brutality and human rights violations. It’s unclear how Lesley McSpadden, Mike Brown’s mother, sees the role of the UN. It appears that she thinks they have authority over the United States. McSpadden is under investigation for a very violent crime, but that isn’t what she talked about at the UN, of course. “We need the world to know what’s going on in Ferguson and we need justice. We need answers and we need action. And we have to bring it to the U.N. so they can expose it to the rest of the world, what’s going on in small town Ferguson.” said McSpadden. The testimony at the UN was behind closed doors, but here is the statement they reportedly made: The document says Brown’s killing and force used by police officers during protests that followed the killing “represent violations of the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.” It requests that the U.N. panel recommend the immediate arrest of Officer Darren Wilson, who killed Brown, as well as an end to “racial profiling and racially-biased police harassment across the jurisdictions surrounding Ferguson.” As our friends at Downtrend say, “Just try to imagine if the UN sent police or troops into Missouri to arrest Officer Wilson.
