Well things are “kind of” back to normal, Debora and Lady Gray are re-bonding and mama and daughter are getting back to normal. Thank goodness hens don’t have memories like humans……….no more pine-ing, she knows he “up and left with the waitress down the street”. NEW CHAPTER……I was watching GMA and kept hearing this beautiful quiet conversations on the porch (I had the side porch door open), we have a very large 2 tier Christmas cactus on the porch and it appears as if a pair of wrens have moved in, well at least mama has, I don’t think she has convinced father yet. Their first batch of kids were born in a large stag horn fern we have hanging in the tree in the front yard. But the wind kept turning it in circles and the wrens had to be at the right angle at the right time the opening in the fern swung around. Debora tied it so they wouldn’t have to work so hard, well the “tree rats” (squirrels) bit the string off and they babies swung until they left the nest. Now mama wants the porch and father keep trying to take her back to the fern, so am not sure what the quiet little chirps are about, but I do think mama is going to win, she has already positioned herself on the drier side of the plant and has a “body hole” in the dirt, so we will see and I will post………..hehehehe. I think I will call this one…………LIFE ON THE PORCH……..
