Well, this experience has certainly made me face my own mortality & the fact I wont live forever ... changes your perspective .. Ive been spending my money acquiring things ... things weigh you down, tie you to one place ... things I put in storage to simplify my life & feel free. Time to start spending my time & money doing & travelling, & not acquiring. Life is short, time to start making plans to fulfill my dreams RIGHT NOW. Of course ... I have to work around the fact that Im recovering from a broken neck ... however, Dave & I are working on our BUCKET LIST. Were planning an epic road trip this summer. The docs said it will take 3 months to recover from surgery (mid-June), but 6-12 months to recover my strength, & possibly 2-3 years for the nerves to regenerate in my left hand ... Sooo we plan on this being a leisurely trip with lots of stops & sightseeing along the way & lots of downtime so I can rest & not get exhausted. If we cant complete the entire trip at once, well come home & finish the rest in stages. Epic Road Trip Agenda: 1st home to Virginia, then stop in Indiana to see my beautiful cousin Billie Jo, then on to Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, & the Badlands in the Dakotas, then south to the Grand Canyon & to see my bestie Gay
