Well, this has been an exciting time! My neighbors, Max and Julianne, recently welcomed their son, Julius, into the world, and my special friends, Lisa and Kevin, became grandparents last night to Samantha Mae. Lisa has been a long time friend and employee in my store, and her daughter, Amelea, was born while Lisa was working for me. Congratulations Amelea and Sam, Max and Julianne - and welcome to the world, Samantha Mae and Julius! May your lives be blessed in every way! This has also been a fun time in the store - lots of baby samplers for lots of babies! Birth samplers, especially when stitched with love by a grandparent, sibling, or friend, are a wonderful way to commemorate a babys arrival. Weve framed many samplers over the years and every one has been crafted with special touches to make it unique. Weve reframed old samplers that have been handed down from one generation to the next. Samplers are best framed with matting to lift the glass off of the stitching, and conservation glazing. Needle art is usually laced or pinned over a board - most framers will try to discourage the use of sticky boards for needlework. Your framer will be guided by the colors, feel, and style of the stitchery, but dont forget to let your framer know about the babys room decor . I ve included some photos of samplers weve recently completed to inspire you if you are trying to think of a special gift for a new baby.
