Well, this has been an interesting shake down cruise for the camper...the battery wont hold a charge so the carbon monoxide alarm went off in the middle of the night...both nights...so we had to get up to turn the truck on so it would stop chirping like a dying smoke alarm...the high efficiency/low power florescent lights the camper dealership recommended burn out the ceiling light fixtures so now we need to have the wiring fixed (the metal part of the fixture was so hot I was surprised it didnt start a fire, and the fuses didnt pop like they should have. ..not good)...we had to spend $300 on a new tire for the truck...I was hopping down of the bed and bumped a panel with my knee and broke it...we forgot extra pillows so I have a cramp in my neck...Im hung over...Ronda fell coming out of the camper yesterday and messed up her wrist (I told her we should have gone to a Dr...but she opted for ice) and were going on a (thankfully) short hike today... On the good side we had great dinners both nights, Friday was chicken breasts and a salad, Saturday was wild caught salmon with asparagus and pasta...were old now, we dont rough it much these days...lol. In addition, we met some very nice people, Cheyenne and Taylor, a nice young couple from Tigard with whom we bonded over a campfire and drinks last night (hence the hangover). And since Im awake, I dont sleep much when camping, Im sitting here playing on FB...thats what you do while camping and communing with nature...right?
