Well this is interesting! A Defence Discount Service card can be bought by Veterans of Regular or Reserve Forces for £4.99, it last for five years. It will get you discounts at Asda and many other companies, but in this example gets you a 30% discount on National Express, and includes spouses... One return trip and its already paid for itself. Not sure how you get 5% discount in Asda, but worth investigating. Seems to give 10% on Haven Holidays, 10% discounts at BK, KFC, and other fast food outlets... I think I read 40% at Hilton International...
