Well, this is my first time cooking bitter melon. I have never seen it this way but I thought it might be good like this. After washing and cutting the ends off the bitter melon, I cut it crosswise into approximately 1 pieces. I used a paring knife to cut out the middle seeds and pith. Next, I mixed up some sausage with some fresh chopped basil and herbs like sage and stuffed the bitter melon rings and made a few extra sausage meatballs. I started cooking them in the bottom of a small stock pot. Then, I added six sliced up cloves of garlic, a sliced onion, my dehydrated mushroom pieces, crushed red pepper, fish sauce, salt, and ground black pepper, sautéing it a bit like that. Next, I added stewed tomatoes, more fresh chopped basil, and sweet corn. It is simmering on the stove now. Hope it tastes okay!
