Well this is what I wrote on Good Mornings Facebook page. Take that and party :-) I am absolutely flabbergasted at your negative response to a request regarding the appeal of missing Guide Dog Tess Find GUIDE DOG TESS to be highlighted on your show to alert the general public that (a) she is missing (b) she could be anywhere in the UK (c) for any possible sightings or information to be contacted via the helpline. She is not your average birthday greeting, appeal or missing dog and Im sure many of your viewers would be appalled at the negative feedback from your producers that this request received. The cost in training and providing care for a guide dog from when its a puppy to retirement exceeds many thousands of pounds, all of which come from public donation as the Government provide no financial assistance to the Guide Dogs for the Blind organisation. More importantly these assistance dogs are a lifeline to many partially sighted and blind people. Without their working dogs, these people are left vulnerable and unable to leave the house independently, and finding a suitable match from dog to visually impaired person can take many many months. The bond between guide dog and owner far exceeds the bond from regular dog owner to pet. These dogs are with them 24/7 in providing a link to the outside world. I would strongly request that you reconsider your response to the request in helping Guide Dog Owner Fraiser to be reunited with his Guide Dog Tess. Many thanks... (I am a Guide Dog owner myself, and I cannot bear to think about this happening to me, which is why I feel so strongly about how you have poorly managed this particular request). Susan Wilde
