Well, this was predictable... a hell of a lot moreso than the actual movie, which, by the way, see it. Heres what makes me laugh, though. I can understand being a little bruised if capitalism is being represented unfairly to kids over and over, but something like whats seen in The Lego Movie has NOTHING TO DO WITH CAPITALISM. Like in Wall-E, we seem to be talking about a giant monopoly that also controls the government. I think we can all agree thats horrible. Not to mention the movie is purposely oversimplified in a childish way, which is actually pulled off very sweetly and tenderly. Of course theres no doubt in my mind that no one in this discussion saw the movie before they started flapping their gums about it, and if they did, they would still only see politics. Also, when the lady seemed almost incredulous that Mr. Potter from Its a Wonderful Life was, quote, considered the villain, I laugh-choked myself on my dinner, to death.
