Well, this was uncanny!! Went to shoot a house this morning and got talking to the vendor. He has a number of great photos of the construction of skyscrapers across the world. I asked what he did. He said he was a structural engineer on high rise blocks and skyscrapers - he is originally from Chicago. I mentioned in passing that I hope they dont build them so they can still fall down... After a pregnant pause he said, you dont believe it do you? Nice to meet you, Darren. to which I answered, what is there to believe? They didnt fall down due to fire thats for sure... Exactly he said. He then went on to sum up my everyday frustrations in one short paragraph- Isnt it crazy that people believe in a God - without any evidence - all because they are scared of death. And yet, with all the evidence showing the WTC towers free fall into a neat pile... After burning for only 1 hour... At temperatures too low to melt steel... They dont believe it because they are scared to death. Its hard to wake up each day and live amongst people like that. Bit full on for my first job of the day, but Amen, sir, amen. ;)
